Dr. Donald Newman is experinced in all aspects of dentistry, including implants restoration, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and family dentistry.

OUR SERVICES
Routine Exams
During a dental exam, we will also ask about any health problems you have or medications you're taking and discuss how they might affect your oral health. If you have diabetes, for example, you're at increased risk of gum disease. Any medication that contributes to dry mouth can increase your risk of tooth decay. If arthritis interferes with your ability to effectively brush your teeth, your dentist or hygienist might show you how to insert the handle of your toothbrush into a rubber ball for easier use — or recommend a powered or electric toothbrush.
If you have prosthetic replacements — such as dentures or bridges — your dentist or hygienist will examine how well they fit and discuss the need for adjustments.
Dental exams might also include counseling about diet, use of tobacco products and other lifestyle factors that can affect oral health.
Dental Hygiene
Periodontal care/therapy is a continuous cycle requiring regular evaluation and maintenance to optimise treatment outcomes.
There are several phases to undertake your periodontal therapy, which are as follows:

A full review of the patient's medical history to identify the patient's systemic health, as well as establishing a provisional diagnosis. The provisional diagnosis is generated following a comprehensive oral examination, data collection and radiographic interpretation.

The patients compliance should be established during this phase as optimal oral hygiene practices need to be employed in order to assist with treatment planning and, long-term goals and results.
Dental Fillings
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.
By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling also helps prevent further decay. Materials used for fillings include gold, porcelain, a composite resin (tooth-colored fillings), and an amalgam (an alloy of mercury, silver, copper, tin and sometimes zinc).
Dentures & Veneers

The easiest and most popular smile improvement procedure available comes in the form of teeth whitening. Florida Dentistry Group uses two procedures for whitening, a custom made teeth tray with a Teeth Whitening System or a Smile Anew take home kit.
